DBS Fees


DBS fees

We use TMG as the counter-signatory organisation to process our DBS checks. Their fees are as follows:
  • On line processing: £12.60 (including VAT)
  • Paper applications: £20 (including VAT) ** please note price increase as from July 1st 2013
If you would like to start using the on line DBS application system then please contact Sue Ward (cslo@bab.org.uk) to arrange this. In addition to the above, the following DBS fees are payable (all BAB checks will be at Enhanced Level):
  • For those in a paid role: £44
  • For volunteers: no fee
The DBS has also announced their Update Service*:
  • For those in a paid role: £13 per year
  • For volunteers: no fee
* the Update Service is only accessible for roles which are ‘like for like’. If you join the Update Service as a volunteer then someone using you in a paid role working with children may not access the information. Under these circumstances you would need to apply for a new check. You have 14 days from the date of the Disclosure in which to join the Update Service. There is more information here.
