I was wondering why, after £6,800 odd spent on computer/website costs in 2010, is it such a poor effort.  

Why have no design principles been used at all.  I have seen infinitely better designed and implemented websites, for a tenth of the figure paid.  

Whoever agreed to pay these crazy fees should be removed from office.  Has anyone ever considered getting 3 quotes from other, perhaps more creative professionals for a proper website and hosting?

Is there any plan to make it possible to book national courses via an online payment system?

I enjoy the national courses but think that the booking/payment process could be streamlined; are there were any plans to implement this sort of mechanism?

A space for links to martial arts suppliers. This may work particularly well if there could be a space for people to review online stores or products that they've bought. 

There are a few great suppliers out there and it would be nice for an opportunity to spread the word...and perhaps companies may be interested in offering discounts to BAB website users...?

The BAB website was hacked on the 13 December 2009 by someone from Turkey, If you see the site off line again please contact the webmaster on 07860 963691.
 
I must say thankyou to our very good friend from Pinner Kai Shin Kai club who noticed and advsed me straight away to fix the problem.

The BAB Website was off line 17 -19 Jan 2009 due to our ISP repairing the server it is run on. We also had to put back all the code. So please advise me if there are any problems now.

In order to encourage the youngsters who enjoy aikido to participate in the forums and actively use the website. ....
 
Why can't we have both a young members sections where they can post their Aikido photographs and a forum which is perhaps overseen by a small collective of young members.
 
That way we would as an organisation be allowing our young members freedom of expression amongst their peers to discuss their aikido and the more mature members could learn about what the grass roots / next generation want to see happen in their sport / art form.

Both are great ideas that we are looking at, The clubs on a map will require Google Map Intergration, But we will see what can be done.
 
I am sorry to say this will be looked at later though as we are building other area's at the moment!
