Hi Rock Ape,
This is an old and longstanding debate that has been on just about every forum in existance. In my opinion the quote from Garry Masters of the Kenshinkai (penultimate post)is right on the mark. I understand your curiosity, especially if this scenario is new to you, but this one is best left well alone, no sense in dragging up old stuff?. As for their comments on the BAB (final post)...how many countries can boast a non-political,non proprietorial and non demoninational organisation (not sure what all those mean!)overseeing the administration of Aikido.I would guess its none (?), therefore we're unique in the U.K and should be very grateful for it. Long live the BAB!!! Sorry to provide such a negative response to your question, but any further comments on this issue will not help anyone. |
