Welcome to the first Clubmark newsletter of 2011

Last year was an incredible year for Clubmark and we'd like to start by thanking you all for your on-going support and for not only helping us in achieving, but smashing our target of accrediting 10,000 clubs before 2012 - a full 2 years ahead of schedule.

For those of you already accredited we have created some new resources for you to update your website with, located in the Member's Area. Clubmark is continuing to go from strength to strength and for those just starting the accreditation journey we have produced, in conjunction with runningsports, a Criteria Guidance document to help you along the way.

Sainsbury's Active Kids 2011 commences 9th February and this year's scheme is packed full of benefits for Clubmark accredited clubs.

2011 looks set to be another busy year for the Clubmark team, we'll be keeping up the momentum and, as always, we are keen to feature your news stories, case studies and profiles of club members and volunteers so please do share your stories with us by emailing features@clubmark.org.uk.

PS - A reminder that the Clubmark database is available for public download here. You can find a list of Clubmark accredited clubs, their location and date of accreditation, all of which is updated on a monthly basis.

Did you know...

Did you know about the range of support offered by Clubmark?

County Sport Partnership (CSP) benchmarking documents were first produced in 2008 to show the number and distribution of Clubmark accredited and working towards clubs in each CSP area. Following positive feedback they are now produced on a biannual basis and with the latest ones being generated in December 2010. Find out more here.

Also, to help those of you starting the accreditation process we have produced A Clubmark Criteria Guidance Pack for clubs themselves to use or for sports development officers supporting clubs through the process. The document looks at each stage of the criteria, gives examples of evidence and tools to support criteria, e.g. suggested workshops, e-learning courses and which Clubmark templates to use. To download the Clubmark Criteria Guidance Pack click here.
