Happy Holidays from Aiki Extensions

Happy Holidays from Aiki Extensions
By Quentin Cooke - 23 December 2010

AE is doing great work that truly effects the lives of its recipients, but it is also doing a lot to promote the good name of aikido.  If you can support its work in any way it would certainly make a difference, particularly in the UK, where we have but a fledgling presence.

I am organising a big seminar on September 17th next year to open International Aiki Peace Week and it will be rather a different event.  It is my intention to not foucus on a star teacher or two, but to be far more inclusive and to hold sessions that really allow us to share across style and association as well as maybe having some sessions that take aikido off the mat.

The participating dojos in IAPW last year are pretty much all behind it and so we have clubs participating from Aberdeen to Exeter, so I will be looking for a decent venue in the midlands.  Can anybody help me with that.  I hope that maybe some of you will get behind this and support the vent and indeed participate and if you think you can, please contact me.  If you have any ideas for making the event go with a sxwing then it would be much appreciated.

Happy xmas and a peaceful New year to  you all.
