The Aikido Circle was established in 1975. Sensei Paul Barker (6th Dan) has been practising Aikido for almost 40 years and is a founder member of the Aikido Circle.
Sensei Barker has been head of the Aikido Circle and chief instructor /technical director since 1989. In 1993 the Aikido Circle became an independent association with Dojos in London, Essex and Sussex

Traditional Aikido, with emphasis placed on practical technique. Weapons and atemi play an important role in day to day training and provides students with the oppertunity to further develop their knowledge.
The Aikido Circle`s traditional V*alues remain as strong today as they did in 1975 with particular attention to basic technique, discipline and etiquette.
